Help: if your browser says adriatic.properties is “not secure”
Sometimes Chrome (or another browser) may show a warning even when everything is correctly configured on our side (valid SSL certificate and enforced HTTPS). In most cases, the cause is local to your computer or network.
Open https://adriatic.properties on your phone (mobile data or Wi-Fi). If the site opens normally on your phone, that is the strongest confirmation the website is working properly and the issue is very likely local to your PC.
1) Make sure you are opening the correct address (HTTPS)
Type this address manually into the browser’s address bar:
If you have a saved bookmark, delete the old one and save a new one using the full address: https://adriatic.properties (or https://www.adriatic.properties).
2) Check the date and time on your computer
Incorrect date or time is one of the most common causes of SSL warnings. Verify the date, time, and time zone, close the browser, and try again.
3) Note the exact error code in Chrome
On the warning screen, Chrome usually shows an error code that starts with NET::…. Examples:
- NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID — most often incorrect date/time on the computer
- NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID — often antivirus/proxy/ISP filtering (HTTPS inspection)
- NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID — often DNS/IP mismatch or opening the wrong URL variant
If you see Advanced, open it and check the certificate details.
4) Clear cache and do a “hard refresh”
In Chrome, try:
If it still doesn’t work: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files.
5) Flush DNS cache (Windows)
After that, close and reopen the browser and try again.
6) Check antivirus, VPN, proxy and “web protection”
Some antivirus tools and network protections use “HTTPS scanning/inspection” (intercepting HTTPS traffic). In that case, the browser may report the certificate as untrusted.
- Temporarily disable VPN (if you use one)
- Check if your antivirus has HTTPS scanning / Web Shield (temporarily disable to test)
- If you are on a business network, a proxy or corporate security gateway may be in place
- Try opening the site in another browser (e.g., Firefox/Edge)
7) If the issue happens only on mobile data
If the site opens on Wi-Fi but not on mobile data, your mobile operator may have an enabled security filtering service. In that case, the issue is not on your device but in the network security rules.
If it still doesn’t work
